Proserpine/Whitsunday Rugby Union Club has been established since 1982 and became incorporated in 1992. Proserpine/Whitsunday Rugby Union Club provides the opportunity for people to play Rugby union in A, Reserve grade or under 19 in the Mackay District Rugby union competition and Central Queensland competitions.
The club has created a pathway to Senior rugby by developing Whitsunday Junior Rugby union subcommittee for ages 5 – 17 years.
Whitsunday Junior Rugby Union has been established for 8 years in Whitsunday region. We are sub Committee of the Senior Proserpine/Whitsunday Raiders Rugby Union Club. We are a well respected club in the region, currently fielding A & Reserve grade Mens Senior Team and 6 junior teams competing against Townsville District R.U. competitions. We are experiencing continual strong growth in our junior numbers. We are in the unique position of a club that can provide player pathways from the junior to senior ranks in the local and CQ competitions. We have strong working relationships with community organisations, local businesses, regional and state hierarchy, and local & state government departments.
